About Madeline Jellison

Madeline Jellison

Madeline Jellison, known as Doobie to most, has been writing stories since childhood, always drawn to the power of words and imagination.  Her work spans multiple genres and forms, mainly told through screenplays and essays.

She grew up in Canton, Ohio and graduated from Indiana University, Bloomington.  After graduation she moved to New York City and spent five years working for a technology startup as a data scientist.  Knowing that she needed to exercise her creative side, she has spent the past several years as a marketing manager for a veterinary clinic.

She has recently started her own publishing company focusing on first time writers.  She recognized the difficulty for new writers relative to securing a quality publisher.

She lives in Manhattan with her cat, Smudge, who never leaves her side during late night writing sessions.
